Default After market ignition coil packsd

I have read about several brands and they advertise about +10 hp gains n/a and +20 on nitrous and blower applications. If anyone here has them i would like to hear your feedback. My stock ones are still in place and have about 60k miles on them and would like to replace them anyways here soon. Are the gains they advertise realistic? Heres the ones i was looking at getting. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...amp;N=700+150+

Thanks!

They look prettier than the stock COPs, that's about it...

Granatelli Motor Sports advertises their COP's create a stronger spark discharge making more power. Redline TV did a bit on this where they did back to back dyno testing on a Terminator with results showing that it gained ~22 HP. $500+ dollars seems really steep for this much horse though.

Not really if it's true. We see folks on here spend $200 on a CAI for a net gain of 5 hp. Using that math, $500 for 22 hp is a steal.

Actually the hp gain of a CAI is less than 5 hp. I would say 22 hp for $500 is a great deal, but the thing is I highlydoubt you will actually get that much on a Cobra, much less an N/A GT.

i say youll gain what you do with a CAI.. maybe the better spark will help ignite the fuel more efficiently.. but even with that.. it wont make much of a difference. with F/I upgrading your ignition is a good idea no matter what.

that would be the best logic. i dont see a bigger spark adding much hp if any. it cant hurt to have a stronger spark, but i would not buy it based on the manufacturers HP claims.
