Default head gasket

ive got a coolant leak outta my headgasket, but its TINY and its like one drop...its also in a spot that it doesnt get into the oil, so i was told by my mechanic that it isnt really a big deal....should i just run some stop leak and call it a day?

Don't run stop leak. It's crap and will cause more problems. If you can deal with a coolant leak just make sure you keep your overflow topped off. And keep checking your oil to make sure it's not being mixed with coolant.

It will eventually be enough to cause a problem with your coolant level. And if it's leaking in one spot that's not mixing with the oil now it may soon. If the leak gets worse your car will start running poorly, too.

No it would be easier to just retorque the head bolts, but its not a solution. Don't waste your time, especially since the bolts are TTY. Any way you look at it, its eventually going to have to be fixed. Its not really too hard for aDIY job, just a little time consuming. If you bought the gaskets and head bolts you could get away doing it yourself for about 300 bucks. And if you ever wanted to do cams that would be the time to do it too.
