Hey guys, i took my 01 GT out tonight and noticed when i had the pedal smashed to the floor to blow her out, it would dip down into the redline and i would have to let off her for her to shift it i remember correctly she would near the redline and it would shift right before! Does anyone have any advice on how to fix it or what problem this may be? [&:]

wait....first you say it goes into the red then you let off and it shifts, but then right after you say it shifts right before the redline....which is it? and if you mash the pedal down it isnt going to shift at 2k....

i said before like a couple months ago it used to shift b4 redline, now it goes up so high my engine is whiinning pretty bad u kno like shes about to blow!!!! Thats how high in RPMS she will go before i let off of her but now when she is mashed she will get to like 6,500. And yes I kno when its mashed she will go past 2k lolJust wondering whats up with my Auto Tranny

Thanks for the Help!! Cough!!! The Car was giving to me! So I had no choice it was my Mothers Car So i know it wasent abused eithier should the tranny fluid be a problem only had it serviced once and that was 30k and now at 60k time for new fluid in tranny? Could that be a problem? Is there any Automtic Tranny Upgrades?

i dont know **** about autos so im not gonna try to feed ya some bad advice....only thing i can suggest is keep your foot out of it until you get it looked at or fixed

does it do this on both the 1-2 & 2-3 shift at WOT ??

the 1st mod you need to get is a trans cooler . I have a B&M SuperCooler .

edit : your trans will last twice as long w/ a cooler .

it happens to me occsionally. i think its mostly when it spins so much so my guess is due to traction, but idk jus sayin what i think, i never push it pas 6200 if i notice it.

dude one time the light was about to turn green n i had the line, so i slowed down to about 5 then it flicked green so i floored it, well i guess the gears were switching and i punched it, it shot up to like ****in 7 grand meaning it was in neutral and then it caught gear n ****in chirped my mickey thompsons going like 5 mph, CHIRPED MY M/TS ya i said it, lol i could never get them bitches to chirp unless on a turn, they stuck so good. its a wonder my rear end wasnt chilling back in the street after that ****
