Default supercharger kit difference

What is it that makes supercharger kits only good for 00-04 or 01-04 as opposed to including the 99. How hard would it be to make one of these kits fit my car?

I think I'll just find some 00-04 kit and if its different i'll fab something up to make it work. I just thought it was weird. The 99 got screwed.

that is weird...I always thought that if it would fit the 00 it should def fit the 99 seeing as the engine set up is the same...[sm=smiley24.gif]

I think the 99s had the same timing case cover as the npi's but didnt use the coilpacks so the mounting bracket may be different. Not for sure tho just a guess.

Because of the front accessory bracket on the 99's, the supercharger head unit has to be mounted backwards. Meaning the mounting bracket for the 99 is different, the plumbing to the TB is different and the belt is longer. You can buy the 01-04 kit and buy a 99 bracket separate. I'll try to find you a picture of the setup.

this is what I got back from the guy on ebay:

Dear maverick1527,

i believe the 99-00 models you will have to drill a hole in the main bracket for it to fit.

the timing covers are just a little different.
but by drilling the hole you can make it work

thanks for looking at the auction
