PPL with gear *****not a stupid vs thread***
how many bottles of gear oil do you need for em? it gear oil the same as friction modifier? i need to know exactly what fluids i need for the install
i have motive 410's with the master bearing install kit in the cart..need to know wat fluids

I think its like 1.75 Quarts or somethin... you'll need whatever amount it takes in gear oil.. you'll also need a friction additive.. you can get it at any parts place usually close to the diff oils.. its in a white small tube.. older guys call it whale *** haha.. You'll just need one bottle of it.. its for the posi unit..

summit sells a couple brands of it with the friction modifyer already in the fluid.
I think I bought 3 bottles and used something like 2.5 of them. I have the rear gridle and 3 was enough, and its an extra 1/2 quart, so 3 should get you done fine.
Friction modifyer, if the fluid doesn't have it, is not the same as the regular fluid. its an additive put in the fluid, not the fluid itself. it comes in a small bottle and you add a certian ratio of modifyer to fluid.
Its much eaiser just to buy the premix stuff.

doesnt your mom or something work at ford? just buy the modifier from them, its the perfect amount for your rear end, add it first, then top off the rest

my ****in cars in the shop right now. all the techs are convincing my mom to look the other way n let em put gears in my car.. so ya.

^ yep, i put about 1-3/4 qts. in mine along with a few ounces of fiction modifier
