it is right infront of the gas tank if you change it you will need a tool to take the old one off

Just did my filter last night it only took about 30 minutes, the tool that you need slides over the fuel line and allows you to release the spring clamp and "unplug" the filter fomr the line. Other than getting gas in my eyes[:@] it was fine. Just a litle tugging and it will give.

Heres something that will help if you do decide to do it (found it on these forums):

When it was stalling out, did you try to give it gas to keep running? If you try that when its cold and give it some gas and it stays running you need to replace the IAC. I think there about $40-50. Very easy to install.

Does the car run better if you give it a little gas? Did you check for vacuum leaks? IAC is a common problem with these cars, but not the only thing that causes idle problems.

Your car should never have to 'learn' it's idle that is so extreme that it stalls out.

Sounds like your car sat and the IAC was gunked up and finally is giving out.
