Default clutch slipping

Hey everyone, i did do a search on this before asking so here goes.. I drove my car the other day and it did fine. Got in it the next morning and clutch pedal felt funny... like i push it and it's still real hard to push even half way to the floor *it gets a little bit easier after the halfway point*. When i left and pulled out in traffic i gave it some gas to speed up and my car jolted and bucked and did not gain much speed. I knew the clutch was slipping but i didn't know why. I pulled the tranny today and looked at the flywheel and pressure plate. I't had alot of heat marks on it so i know for sure it was the clutch slipping real bad. The flywheel is stock so i just got a alum. flywheel since i had the tranny out and summit sent me a new clutch since it's under warranty. After i got it all back together clutch pedal still feels the same... anyways have any ideas what may have caused that? Clutch was releasing all the way i made sure and i do have a adjustable clutch cable. Any ideas or anything would help im stumped.. thanks!

Is your cable too tight? You might have also bent your clutch fork. That would mean another tranny pull out unless your real slick and can maybe manuever it through the peeker hole???? I did that with a Chevelle before.

Ohh yeah, forgot they do that. I've only tore my transmission twice in one year. Think I would have remembered????..lol
What about your quadrant? Do you think that could be binding up on the pivot point under the dash? I remember I had to hone mine out because it was real stiff. Took my dremel to the inside of the hole and opened her up a bit. Maybe it's getting cocked a little bit? If your quadrant isn't than my wife will be in the morning....lmao
