Hey man, the problem is again likely detonation or misfiring....The check engine light is a bad sign. That Ford dealership is trying to rip you off, they just resetted the light with a computer scanner. I recommend that your daddy buy you one of those OBD II decoders (Global OBD II AutoScanner - CP9135) , in that case everytime that Check engine light comes off you'll be able to pull the code from the computer and then reset or turn off that damn light, then you'll take it to the dealer (without telling them that you got a code) to see how honest they are, I bet they are not. I bought my decoder in autozone, I bet your daddy can afford one (see web page http://www.actron.com/cgi-bin/web_store.cgi?page=cp9135.htm&cart_id=)

The only way you can void your engines warranty is by going to the drag strip & they find out, or you do INTERNAL MODIFICATIONS. Bolt-on part's, headers, intake, cai..etc are fine.

I will bet my left nad your air silencer removal didn't harm a thing. Take your car back to your dealership, this time tell them to DIAGNOSE what's wrong, not reset your computer. Otherwise, get the mud-hole boots out and start stomping one.

you are DEAD WRONG buddy...anything you do to the car that is different from the way it came stock that they can prove WILL void your warranty...go talk to your local dealer if you do not believe me...or read your warranty info

by the way...i just about had my warranty voided because i have a K & N filter on my car..the mass air sensor went bad cuz oil from the filter got on it...my service advisor was nice the first time and let it slide but the dealers are VERY willing to void warranties for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.

No, you are DEAD WRONG buddy. 'TECHNICALLY' according to FEDERAL LAWS, modifications to your ENGINE do NOT void the warranty unless you do INTERNAL modifications. The big problem is the dealer, blaming your PERFECTLY legal modifications on the cause of the motor troubles. Now, go take a ride to an INFORMED dealer and they will confirm this with you, or take some time and look up the laws.

So what if you had one of your own nads....and implanted one of someone else's nads? Would you be a split personality or what? Or what if you got a chick pregnant and the baby came out looking like the guy that "donated" his nad??? Sorry, just curious.

What is the thing called? i think it is the magnuson moss act or something along those lines.... it says that external modifications will only void the warranty for that part otherwise you would have the dealer voiding the warranty if u put anything except motorcraft fluids in it and replacing it with genuine ford parts.... that is called bs, my buddy had toyota tell him the same thing about his supra, that he could only put toyota or trd parts in, and i dont think he has put either in with all the mods he has done to it..... off subject..... it will not and can not void your warranty, and if ure afraid it will, put the stock parts back on before taking it there
