Diablo Tune and Nitrous

RE: Diablo Tune and Nitrous
yeah put the stock tune on will be better. Best option would be to have it dyno tuned but next would be the stock tune.
ngk tr-6 gapped to .32 - .35 Or some autolites. Basicly wanting something one stage colder and gapped

RE: Diablo Tune and Nitrous
most likely your Diablo tune has more spark advance, so you'll either need to retard the timing a few degrees or just return it to stock. ideally you should either have it dyno tuned or get a wideband, but otherwise i'd just stick with the stock tune. most people will tell you that up to a 100 shot you can keep your stock tune, and anything higher than that and you might need to go back even farther on the timing (1 or 2 degrees probably).

RE: Diablo Tune and Nitrous
I get a 13.0 A/F with the diablo tune on there and 92 or 93 gas.
Without it i get a 11.8 or so....
I dont have the ***** to even try running my NX kit with the diablo tune on there, for fear of all that timing.
You probably could, but id get some 116 octane or something [&:]

Leaded will end up messing up the o2 sensors. Also been told cats dont like race fuel.

bringing this back from the dead. but it is what i was wondering.
dyno tune will need a chip with 2 tunes on it correct to switch over? for dd and for the nitrous or else he will be running with a nitrous tune for his dd. wouldnt seem to efficient. and taht means selling the tuner? correct

As far as the o2 sensors. My tuner told me with leaded fuel to turn the ignition key on and leave it on a few seconds before you start the car. It helps the o2 sensors from coating over from the leaded fuel..He compared it to an old diesel engine with glow plugs. Turning the key to the on position lets them warm up..
