My first mustang. What should
well it depends on what kind of gas mileage you want. gears directly effect mileage. if you still want descent economy go with 3.55 or 3.73. if you dont care about mileage go with 4.10 personally i would go with 3.73. if you go to jegs.com you can get them for under 200. as far as installation i would find a good shop and have them do it figure on 3 or 4 hours of labor.

two quick and easy bolt on applications that will give you about 15hp (w/stock everything)are underdrive pulleys and cold air induction. quick, simple with definite results and better gas mileage to boot to somewhat counter your gear swap.<edited><editID>crimson tide</editID><editDate>37904.0334027778</editDate></edited>

It should also be noted that you'll gain MORE lowend ft-lbs w/the H-pipe than hp w/the X-pipe. Put a 4.10 in the rear end, and it'll not matter which one u choose so much as the sound you prefer. X = NASCAR. H=MUSCLE CAR. Both sound good with the proper applications of catbacks. The x-pipe <U>needs</U> a straight through system like Magnaflow, or you are in for a #$%@ sound (i.e. Flowmasters & x-pipes don't match). However, if you put some FM's together w/a nice H-pipe...that's music<IMG src=smileys/smiley8.gif border="0">.</P>

are BBK performance underdrive pully kits good? and i read that by putting this on itwillreduce engine cooling. if that is the case should i put on underdrive and cool air intake at the same time?</P>
