Redline starts at 5800 rpms, dumbass. You might of just f'ed up your motor and it's only a matter of time before she starts ticking or knocking, or just lets go all over the road. <IMG src=smileys/smiley11.gif border="0"></P>

I guess you have to make it clear to the ignorant (judging from previous posts also), YOU DO NOT AND SHOULD NEVER PASS where the REDLINE BEGINS on your TACH, unless you have major mods that permit you to do so without harming your engine. Dude, by the sounds of it - you've done it more than once and you will be heading back to Ford for a new engine. God forbid you trade this car in before this happens and some poor person buy's your car.</P><edited><editID>Dan02GT</editID><editDate>37905.112962963</editDate></edited>

How could he hurt his engine? Doesn't the car have a rev limiter on it so you can't hurt it? Was the rev limiter changed or something?</P>

U guys sure are being harsh. There is nothing wrong with taking a engine to redline. I wouldn't do it with the clutch pushed in though.</P>

I'm going to have to get used to that low RPM shifting point. Wish me luck, going to do the dealer today.</P>
