Default Turbo Mach 1

My uncle works at a VW dealership and they got a trade-in for a 99-04 mach 1 (unsure of year) with a turbo and decent mileage. Only problem is that it's automatic and I honestly hate automatic... How much generally would it cost to get a 5 or 6 spd swapped? And is it worth it?

I think it's white, not sure of all the details my uncle stopped by this morning to let us know. I'm going to the dealership to check it out in a little and I'll come back with the info. I'm in the SF Bay, Cali. Good thing is that we can get it for trade-in value, all they need to profit is $3-500 after smog/safety and that's it.

you can make autos sick fast. and i would rather have an auto with high hp than a stick. but if you doget it just build the trans if it isnt already.

I am in sf too, I just did a 6 speed swap on my gt and spent prolly about 2900 alltogether, thats with the aluminum driveshaft, safety loop, mgw shifter, new bezel, clutch, flywheel, and t56. Sounds like a nice mach1, too bad I did the swap already, I would have been interested in a 4v.

Uhm, I'm not a huge expert, but I didn't think Mach 1's came with automatics??

Or is it an aftermarket tranny?
