Default or 4v how do i find out?
Just as the post is tittled

I have a 97 GT and was wondering which i have. Another question i have is i am going to be putting in new plugs and fuel filter all my plug wires look good and they are aftermarklets(Cannot remember which brand though) What else Should i be looking at doing while getting this done?

Is there a year cut off between 2v and 4v? I would like to know as it's referred to a lot here. I'm guessing the older ones are 2v and at some point Ford switched and went with 4v?

If you have a Cobra you have a 4V. If you have a GT you have a 2V. If your still unsure post a pic and we will tell you

yea....the gts are 2 and the cobras are 4

and the S197 (05-08 gts) are 3

to add on to what they've said...

all 96-044.6 GT Mustangs are 2v... all 96-04 Cobras are 4v...

The 93' Cobras had a ls1, and the 88-93 Mustang GT's had a LT1...
