I have a 04 Gt with an intake and exaust coming in the mail hopefully will be here by friday and a short shifter coming next week..i was curious when i should get a tuner? I was thinking about gettin a 70mm throttle body,intake spacer,phlenum and pulleys before the tuner so i could buy the tuner with a tune already set for my mods.I dont know of any dyno tuners in ny and id rather spend the money on my car then paying someone to tune.So what would some good tuners be and what should i have done first? I know american muscle has a 4:10 gear kit with a tuner and gear oil and you get a custom tune for all your parts set on it when you buy...would this be a good idea?

get a tuner when ever you want i would get one from brenspeed and they will customize them to what you have done to your car

and the intake spacer in a waste of money

Yeah i figured it might be but for 10 bucks you cant go wrong lol...i was just curious when a tuner was realy needed to make your car run right or get the most out of my mods.Whether i could wait till i do some serious engine work or get one now to make the most of what i have?

well with a tuner you can change your octane to a 93 octane and get better power that way

and with gears supercharger or nitrous you will deff need a tuner

Whats is the best tuner for a newbie who has no idea how to tune...id like one with preset tunes in it i could flash and not have to mess with it to much?

Id recommend the DiabloSport Predator Tuner. I got mine used for 250.[8D]

INstalled??? You can do that yourself in like less than 5minutes. Tuners areplug and play and very easy to use. If your talking about installing a diablo chip, Ithink that is high. $325 for a new tuner is a good deal, used that sounds high.

you can get the tuner whenever. yes, if you do all of your other mods first, when you order the tuner you can have them tune for your mods.

i would get your tuner from brenspeed.com and not americanmuscle. americanmuscle is a great company, and ive got many things from them....but not the tuner. i have heard from others with their tunes, and they say they suck! plus...brenspeed is the number one sct tuner in the united states. oh....and btw...SCT PWNZ diablo
