Alright here's what happened...I had a leak in the stock intake, so i ordered the replacement intake with the aluminum crossover. when removing the intake some antifreeze got into the intake valve holes. i removed all of it with a shopvac with a small surgical tubing adapted to it and papertowels. i went ahead and reassembled everything cleaning sensors and parts as i went (injectors, IAC, MAF, etc.) when i started it up for the first time it smoked for about 15 min. then stopped. i figured it was blowing out the fluid that got down on top of the pistons? i took it for a ride down the road, the idle sounds and feels ok, but when i press the gas to accelerate it hesitates. when i press the gas easy it is ok. really need help. any advise would be greatly appreciated. thanks to all!

I would say you have a vacuum leak.

do you know of any way to find a vaccume leak. i listened carefully but didn't hear anythind but i could have been wrong. it has happened once before

Soapy water and a pump spray bottle.

try this- stand out side with the car on, and put your ear to the engine bay. Have your friend turn the ignition off and see if you hear a 'pss' or something

so your saying when your at WOT you have this problem
make sure your butterfly isnt stuck and adjust your throttle cable. IMO

hell yeah! i fixed it. i ran a bottle of Lucas fuel injector cleaner through it, and now it works perfect. must have got trash in them when i took them off. thanks for all of the help though!

Lucky you. When i swapped my intake i guess some antifreeze got into one of the intake ports as well. When i went to start it up it broke the connecting rod because the cylinder could not compress the coolant. Now its time for a new motor.

yeah i had the sameproblem, but i took my spark plugs out and turned the engine over one time to blow the fluid out. that sucks, i hate it for you. what are you replacing it with?
