Default SLP Exhaust

Has anyone looked at the new cat-back SLP "Loud Mouth" exhaust system for 99-03 GT's. It's $339 at LM Performance and doesn't use mufflers but resonators. My question is, is it street legal and how does it work?

How is it overpriced? I thought most cat backs were $350-$1000. Also this one is competely stainless steel. I thought the $339 was cheap, but I still don't understand how it can be street legal w/out mufflers.</P>

it's not overpriced, but SLP originally worked w/GM products, so why even consider it. SLP did not even consider putting R&amp;D into Ford Mustangs until the demise of the Camaro, and Trans Am. F__k SLP. They are only coming to put some R&amp;D into Ford, cuz they want to stay in business. Far as I am concerned, I'm sticking w/the brands that have been here since the beginning. If I would have bought the WS.6, then a Firehawk package would be nice, but since I didn't...well...</P>

Any other thoughts on this?</P><edited><editID>GSXRIntensity</editID><editDate>37918.0988194444</editDate></edited>

Dude SLP is a bunch of design engineers. They were taken up by chevy because Ford pased them over for shelby and under bid them and ended up with saleen. They are proven better engineers trying to give people wht they want. Yes they are trying to stay in business duh stupid. Take advantage of it. They are a name of stature and will make good on a deal. If it doesn work you tell them the problem and they will fix and could end up giving you the part for free. There could be many opportunities for a good deal here. If they say it's street legal then it is. But it could be street legal only if used by itself, only in certain states, only on certian models etc. read all details first. if it comes down toit, have a shop fit up some mufflers in place of the resonators. That much stainless made to bolt on is worth 600 billz atleast. (if it's from header/manifold to bumper)

"duh stupid"...you can inform/correct w/out the attitude F__k Head. You made it seem like I was attacking you. I didn't know about them being overlooked by Ford, so I stand corrected if that is true, but why then are Ford letting come around now?
