Interior Change from Tan to Black and Tan
#21
It is a lot of fun but you have to be patient...
...the added issue in this switch was the electrical issues and missing and broken or malfunctioning parts and wiring issues that slowed the process...
When I could finally start reinstalling everything it was really a blast.
I was going to go all black...
...but now Im really glad to have the contrast...
...the tan became more of the accent...
dog gone it...send your car out here...Ill do it

Yeah, it sure seems like tedious work. I looked into doing the complete black interior swap. The electrical/airbags seemed quite difficult and since this is my DD, I can't have it out of commission for a week or two while I work on it. When everything starts coming together is the best feeling
...I took the mustang out a couple times and simply installed the driver seat when necessary...but it would have been much more difficult if this was my DD...
...you would have to work fast on days off

The airbags should be too difficult just make certain to pull the corect fuse!

DO NOT RELY ON JUST PULLING THE FUSE!!!!!!!
Disconnect the battery and then pump the brakes a few times to diffuse any current remaining in the car. Then wait at least 30 minutes. Pump the brakes again, THEN remove the bags.
It overkill, but for good reason:
1, they'll leave a mark if they go off and 2, they aren't cheap to replace.

Thanks!
I am really loving it! Contrast is good for life
...and about the fuse thing....
...and if your not confident about removing the airbags...I definitely recommend you disconnect the battery!
Ive removed my steering wheel in my corvette and the fuse was sufficient...
Now...about the procedure mentioned by POISND U ...is it your opinion that you disconnect the battery and wait 30 minutes and press the brakes...
...and what kind of capacitor is wired into the mustang to require all of those procedures...?
