Help with Dash
98 Pony GT, Question about the dash. I am trying to take my raio out so I can install my amp and subwoofers. But whenever I take out the 2 showable screws, and try to pull it out, it seems to be stuck. It is almost like it has something hanging in the back. Or there are more screws that I just cant see. Can someone please help me. Also, does the stock radio have the output in the back to hook up for the amp?? Thanks for all the help in advance!

In mine there was a bracket on the bottom that ran about 6 inches and bolted to something (I dont remember what it is now). I just used an extension and unbolted it. It was a pita cause it got to the point where it was too lose to turn any more but was still in the hole and it was too small to get your hand baack there and pull it out.

The stock radio doesnt have anything in the back for an amp. Also, you are gonna have to pull the radio (both if you have the stack) out and take out the screw WAY in the back. Theres also a couple push pins that hold that whole bezel in.

Ok, thanks for the input. Well instead of taking the dash off, i decided to get the crossover link for the rca's where it is run from my speakers and not my radio. Well after spending about 2 hours hooking my system up last night. It sounds like ****!!!! I guess b/c of all the plastic in the back b/c its a convertable, its horrible. So i will be taking it right back out tongiht!!!!
