Default P0302 Misfiring 2nd Cylinder

Any idea how to exactly tell what is causing this?
I was at the car wash spraying off my motor and it seemed to be happening after that..

I bet your coil is either on its way out, or just wet.

Replace the coil and plug on #2, clear codes, problem solved.

Stick with Ford coils if you want them to last another 90

Ok sounds good but is there any way to tell if in fact it is the coil?

most likely it is a coil since you were spraying the engine.

just in case the water was a coincidence, do you have a timing adjuster because from my experience that could cause the code too? I know my car was picky as hell when i had my timing adjuster on. I got that same code when i set it to 13*, set it back to 12* and it went away.

no i dont have a timing adjuster, and we are figuring it is the coil but ive found them for $30 each or $200 for all eight is it important to replace all eight or just the bad one? and is it bad to be driving it with the bad coil?

Pull the COP and see if there's water in the plug well--if so just blow it out with air, wipe the COP boot ans spring dry, and spray some WD-40 in the well... Button it up and you should be OK.

This is common after indiscriminate spraying of water on the engine, don't direct the full stream at the COPs and injector connectors next time.
