I did a T-3650~T-56 swap several months ago, but was not as extensive a mod as you plan. I went T-56 due to the much better driveabilty in ratios and old trans was dying anyway.

This will give you an idea of what is needed anyway. If you go T-3650, I have an aluminum DS for ya if interested.

You can easily put a TKO in your car, however you may look at some options on building up your stock transmission. We build stock 3650s up to 700ft-lbs and we have lots of options from mild to wild. We also have the 1260 T56 in stock, which is built to replace your current transmission with no hassles. Let me know if I can help you make a good choice. BTW, I am assuming you have a mod motor car. I did not see a year model on your post. Gray@AP

Sounds like a big PITA to me, lotso custom fabs, yer gonna need the new center consol, driveshaft, just installing a clutch pedal where there isnt one is going to be a fun one. You cant beat the consitancy of an auto anyways, get a tuner and be done with it or buy a car with a manual trans already. Cheaper in the long run. I estimate if you do the job yourself your looking at about $500-$1000 at least to do it right, the clutch/flywheel/Steeda adjustible clutch cable kit alone will be over $500. Plus depending on your sceduale your looking at at least a couple of weeks.

Why would you want to get rid of your automatic? I sometimes wish I had a 5 speed or even a 6-speed... but hell I can eat a sub while I drive, and that's a good thing.

custom fabs? The console is the same, you just swap out the bezel and shift boot. The driveshaft might still work (i did an AOD-T5 swap in my fox and reused the same d-shaft and x-member) The pedals arent custom either. You unbolt the brake pedal assembly and install the brake/clutch pedal assembly in its place. Its not the funnest job, but it surely isnt fabricating.

Though never attempted in my own vehicle...I would not recommend eating a meatball sub and driving...stick or auto
