I don't have the owner's manual and I'm not sure when they recommend a full tune-up, but at 65k miles, I'm going to go ahead and do the works. You never know what you're getting when you get a used vehicle, so I think its worth it to spend the money to avoid problems from potential lack of maintanence on behalf of the previous owner. I must say though, the car looks extremely clean inside and out...

Next up on the list:

Replace faulty ABS sensor
Figure out if it has keyless entry
Fix passenger side power window (won't work from driver controls, but will from passenger controls)
Fix passenger side power lock actuator

When I sit down and write out all of the little insignificant things the car needs, it seems like a lot, but then I remember that I got a 65k mile GT for $5k and I don't care.
look at where the filler goes into the tank right behind the passenger rear tire
you will see what looks like wire loam thats what is covering the tube cut the zip ties and pull the cover off and throw it out and check the seal right there

I took a look, but didn't see anything like what you described. I saw a rubber hose with a hose clamp going into the tank, but that's it. I'll take another look tomorrow. I was in my driveway on gravel... knees didn't like it, lol.

I was driving along today and noticed the SES light came on. I stopped in at AutoZone and they pulled the code "P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected". I tried the obvious and checked the gas cap, but the code remained. The troubleshooting guide suggested the EVAP canister had a leak. Hopefully this is the route of my strong gas smell.
