Default Intake Manifolds

1. I am thinking about getting an intake manifold. Will I really see that much of a difference between the two I have listed at the end of this post? I mean a difference that would justify the $140 price separation between the two.

2. Is 20hp to the wheels really a reasonable gain to expect from the intake manifold?

3. Is there anything I need to know, buy, before I purchase my intake manifold? Does anything special need to be done to my car?

There is a reason those intakes are so cheap. You won't see a gain.

unless your car is heavily modded with some sort of forced induction, dont upgrade the intake...you will lose low end and be slower since you cant spin your gt high enough to take advantage of the increased air

Best intakes are trickflow or logan

The edelbrock and PP are just aluminum stock design. But if you are on a budget and have to choose between those two then get the edelbrock. I wouldn't put the professional products one on my car if you paid me.

The one you posted was the wrong one this is the right one http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I see now that in my hast I posted an Intake manifold for a carburetor rather than FI. Lol. But the rest of my questions still need answers. Thanks.

What constitutes heavily modified? I have a full exahust, gears, CAI, Plenum, TB, gears, and a tune.

Your not heavily modified your basic bolt on. Built engine and forced induction is when its time to change up intakes.

Okay. Thanks for you help. Any suggestions on where I should go next? I AM on a BUDGET. I was thinking about getting a tune on a dyno. Worth it?
