Squeaky clutch petal

when does the noise happen? is it constant squeaking when your not touching it, or when you are using pedal? if it happens when you press the pedal it might be your pilot bearing, if it happens when your not using it, its probably the throwout bearing.

Sounds like you have a throwout bearing problem. Had the same problem with mine when i had my stage 1 spec, made a nasty squeek pressing the pedal in, the bearing was destroyed wish i still had the pic.

Kinda bringing up an old thread, hope nobody minds.
My '96 will produce a nice squeak (very much like a squeaky door hinge) during clutch pedal depressing- but only while the engine is running. Would this be indicative of a pilot bearing issue? If so, how involved is this? Otherwise, if its the TOB I know thats basically as much work as replacing the clutch

Mine has the squeak also, it seems like it's about 1/4 of the way when pushing in the clutch, and it sounds like it's coming from a spring or something on the floor. I will be checking it further this weekend, and hopefully a little lube will fix it. It happens any time that I push in the clutch pedal.
