The manual and ford dealership says tranny fluid change at 60,000, but i have always done sooner to be safe. As far as warming it up you never want to operate the engine or transmission with cold and stiff fluids, can cause more grindage. So just enough for it to be warm, a good way to tell is note what rpm your car idles at when warm, wait for it to drop to that rpm.

For the warm up it doesn't really matter our work trucks get fired up and driven instantly and others are warmed up for over half an hour in the winter, but all of them make it to 170,000 miles minimum before we see many problems. I think maintenance is the bigger key. It never hurts to replace some fluid.

As far as your window I just fixed mine. If you pull your door panel you will see the piece that holds the back part of the glass is probably unglued. The back hits on the stop before the front is all the way up. Once the back stops the front comes up just a little more. I just used some 5 min epoxy and it is holding just fine. I had the window about half way down reglued it and let it set up for 45 min.
