I have a 99 gt the 35th anniversary. I have a couple questions about the transmission. In the 35th edition did they come with the cobra transmission? When I replaced the clutch a few years ago it was a 31 spline instead of 26 spline. And I know the cobra was a 31 spline can anyone confirm this? Also I need to replace the synchronizers. And I know the 99 is a t45. are the syncros the same for the mustang and cobra trans? I just have a lot of questions..thanks

What was 31 spline? Input shafts are 10 spline on a gt, and 26 is the upgrade...

no sorry i was confused on something else. My dad was the first to change the clutch but he is in iraq right now so i cant ask him exactly. But i know he said the trans had more splines than the stock GT transmission. When he called summit to order the new clutch the one they sent for a stock 99 gt didnt fit. So he called them back and the number of splines he counted was for the cobra trans the associate at summit said. So in the 35th anniversarys did they put a different trans? we bought the car new in 99 off of the lot so it was untampered with.
