Default Need help with electrical. 99+ cluster in 96 and 99+ eec

I am having a problem with my mustang. I am putting a 99+ cluster in my 96. I picked up the cluster and the pigtails for it, as well as the eec out of the kick panel.

I need a wiring diagram for a 99GT and 96 GT.

On the 99 cluster the wires that I have yet to connect.

pink/ lt blue
tan/ orange
grey/ orange
pink/ black

Wires left in the dash

tan/ yellow
green/ yellow
blue/ green
pink/ green
grey/ white

I really need help on this asap. I tried starting the car with the 99 ecu and it would turn over but would not fire.

You can't do it, that's why no one has offered to help you with your harness.

thanks. I guess I will pull out the cluster I partial have wired in and figure out how to get my speedometer working on the original. guess i will figure out how to get the new speedo and eec to work on a later date. might just rewire the entire dash.

thanks

I don't know how it will look but you could try and pull the face plate off the mach cluster and then use yours as a tamplate and cut around the key differences with an exacto knife and merge it onto yours. Worse case scenario, you get one of those stick on designer bezels to overlay on top to cover up the cut marks.

If your cuts are straight enough it should look pretty good. Since you'll be taking off your needles make sure you get a warm/running picture of the needle placement.

G/L I was grumpy last night sorry if I came off harsh.

nope didn't come off harsh.

I cut out all my progress and put the stock cluster back in, everything is still working. I just wish my speedo would work properly. I am kind of tempted to pull off the exciter ring in the transmission and replace it with the tooth style from the t45.... I guess what I am saying is convert my speedo sensor from the tr3650 to the t45 style.
