Would it be a good idea to replace the valves, valve springs, pushrods, and lifters; while having the heads off?

What pushrods and lifters? I never knew mod motors had those.

But, would it be smart to replace the valves, valve springs, cams, heads, and headers all at the same time?

Yes.

Swapping in a PI motor is a good idea for a high mileage motor. Or, if you live where it gets VERY cold... the higher compression makes it a bish and a half to start in the cold.

no ****. ever since i put the mach block in and skyrocketed my compression, car is tough to start sometimes and shaky until it warms up.

I'm sorry new member here I am going to but in a little. a p.i. head conversion cost about 1,000 dollars for me. you just got to know where to look. I got my heads from summit racing for 344 each and the intake from livernois for 160 then went to ford and got the heater hose for 21 bucks plus the nipple cost me another 10 bucks. but I am currently rebuilding my motorso the swap has been easy since the motor is out but I keep coming accross this fourm this post and decided to butt in a little later.

i have the engine pulled out of my 96 gt. i am not sure what i should do. i considered the pi head swap or just getting a newer gt engine. is the pi swap worth the money? or should i replace the engine with a newer one? my engine had 64,000 miles on it when i removed it. is there a complete pi conversion kit out there? if so anyone have the part # for the kit and where i could buy it. thanks
