Will a vortech s/c from a 98gt, bolt on a 99-04 gt engine???

Default Will a vortech s/c from a 98gt, bolt on a 99-04 gt engine???

I have to make sure it does before i buy a 99-04 gt engine for my 98 mustang.

Doesnt look like the 2 engines are very different besides different headwork...

the timing cover is different, so you will need a different bracket for the supercharger

any idea where i can get one? how much do they go for? im not even sure what the bracket is... car already came with s/c

do yourself a favor and put those pi heads on before u do the blower

ok, here is a story, yesterday i hydrolocked my 98gt with the vortec s/c already installed on a car, now i need a new engine, due to hearing a knock shortly after... I want a 99-04 gt engine, thats y im asking..

look in the pipes boost juice section at the 1500$ supercharger thread theres a link for the blower bracket you need its not terribly expensive

i would also go through the 96-04 vortech installation manual there's notes in there explaining things for different years.

depending on ur budget it may be more beneficial to see about a 4v

the local junkyard by my house has 96-98 gt mustangs in there all the time. just saying u may be able to hit a junkyard and just stick with a 96-98 block and not have to go through the trouble of changing to a newer block. i read the older blocks tend to be better when equiped with the pi heads and cams and a blower. something about what internals they had over a new block
