Default Cobra transmission in gt

Ok first off how are all these people in that quarter mile? Forum below me running 15s? I mean I ran a 14.005 and was mad I didn't get13s stock lol y'all gotta learn how to launch and shift anyways just thought it was funny now question a 6 speed cobra trans should bolt on fine to a gt right I mean it's the same block right? I am about to get 3.73s and vt stage1 cams go mpg is about to go down an a 6 speed will will lower mpg on highway and drone from exhaust

You almost sound like you know what your talking about.

Did you check the gear ratios? The Cobra T56 6th gear is the same as the 5 speeds 5th gear.

yeah, your grammar is pretty bad so your post was annoying to read.

if you had checked THE STICKIES you would find this thread showing you exactly how to change out your t45/t3650 for a t56 from a cobra.

and jmac no 6th gear is lower than the 3650 5th gear. all the gear ratios are on there. however its not going to affect gas mileage that much. it will be years before the tiny amount of gas saved outweighs the 1500+ you need to swap the tranny out.

That is what I mean. The difference is minimal. If you want an actual difference in the ratio, you should look into the Viper Spec.
