Default Car is bucking.

Hey guys.

I just purchaced an 02 gt 5 sp. I just threw a code because when i was driving the other day my cel came on. I didnt feel any difference such as rough acceleration or idle, but i do notice that when i start from a stop light first gear seems fine but when i shift to second and get back on the gas the car seems to kinda buck, like its jerking in a way. It also does this if i am just cruising and punch it to the floor. There seems to be som hesitation. For some reason i dont think that the cel has anything to do with it but maybe im wrong.

Not too concerned at this point since i have a 2yr bumper-bumper warr. Just wanted to see what you guys thought it could be.

Thanks.

take it in if you have a warranty....doesnt matter what the problem is, let someone else take care of it

if you wanna mess with it yourself, take it to a parts store and have the codes pulled...sounds like a misfire, they should be able to tell you which cylinder....could be a cracked intake manifold dumping coolant into a plug well, could also be a valve cover gasket leaking oil into a plug well, a burned up COP, bad plugs, etc etc...

I HAVE A 96 MUSTANG GT. I'M HAVING A SLIGHT ROUGH IDLE AND HESITATION AT LOWER RPM'S. GOES AWAY WHEN RPM'S ARE HIGHER. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON CODE IS SAYING MISS FIRE IN CYCLENDER # 1. I HAVE REPLACED ALL THE PLUGS, WIRES, COIL PACKS, INTAKE MANIFOLD, EGR SENSOR, STILL DOING IT. I'M THINKING I COULD HAVE A CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLD OR CLOOGED UP CAT? IT SOME TIMES MAKES A POPING NOISE IN THE EXHAUST. THE EXHAUST SYSTEM IS ALL STOCK AND 14 YEARS OLD, I SOME TIME HERE A SLIGHT TICK IN SECOND GEAR LOW RMPS COMMING FROM PASS SIDE. THE CAR SAT A VERY LONG TIME BEFORE I GOT IT. SHE ONLY HAS 63,000 ORG MILES. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPERCIATED THANK YOU GOD BLESS.

You replaced the intake manifold for a misfire? It isn't a cat, a cat would give you a emissions efficiency code. I have a feeling I should not be feeding the troll, but w/e.

the CEL is on and the car is acting up and you dont think they are related??? lol

first off get codes pulled otherwise its a guessing game. second i would say spark plugs....replace them.

i just replaced mine (all plugs) after getting misifres on 2 cylinders
