Accel or MSD coil packs worth buying? What exactly would be the benefit?

Accel or MSD coil packs worth buying? What exactly would be the benefit?
Can someone explain to me how a coil pack adds horsepower? I'm thinking about upgrading the 2 OEM coil packs on my Cobra for this spring, plus the car tends to turn over kinda slow too even after I replaced the plugs and wires. Anyway, AM.com says "More Horsepower". I don't know much about the electrical things such as plugs, wires, distributors/coil packs, etc.

but i still agree new coil packs wont add hp

You give up life for an illusion of more power... There is no measurable Hp to be had with them.
WeaponX is the only brand that I know of that's any different but at their price point and the way the lack of any benefit from anything under 7k rpm makes them really not worth it either.
If you want to be different and plan to rev over 7k rpm then just go for GM coils.
