Default clutch problem

lately every time i stomp the car for a couple runs or even all the way up to redline a couple times my clutch gets ****ing stiff...when i mean stiff this **** feels like its gonna break the clutch cable *and already has 2 times*
i just replaced the clutch with a ram hd kit from jegs and ever since then ive had problems with cables and the stiffness...
would replacing the pressure plate with a different one help? or any other suggestions...

I'm no master mechanic...and I know nothing about that clutch. Is it a performance clutch? Are you at all pushing too hard on the clutch? Meaning maybe close to or exceeding it's ratings? Clutches sometimes get hard and stiff when they get hot. Mine does on my high mile DD. And are you riding the clutch at all? Slipping it in any way?

Sounds like my old centerforce clutch that had these weights that when spun up would push the clutch into the flywheel.
