Default Pilot Bearing

So I tried this bread thing to get the bearing out but i don't want to hit to hard. Whats my next option this cheap bearing puller from the parts store

whats "this bread thing?" a cheap bearing puller should work, or you could just cram a bunch of grease in there and hit it with a hammer to pop it out.

Bread thing is same as the grease thing

thats what i was assuming but i wasn't sure. did you pack the grease in there nice and hard and then hit the grease hard with the hammer? im sure you did, just trying to make sure. try the bearing puller from autozone next and hopefully that does the trick for you. good luck!

So are you putting Bread in the hole? I can't even see that working
I've never had trouble with the fill the hole with grease stick an extension in the hole and hit it method

Couldn't find an exact fit the best I could do is the female end of an 3/8 extension wrapped with electrical tape. Rode the bike to the auto store to get the puller. We'll see.

Grease method did not work for me either. Tried for like 30 min. Rented the puller from Autozone and had it out in 2.

We just did mine a few weeks ago and it was a bear--tried all the "hydraulic" tricks, and several slide hammer adapters--finally had to go at it with a small air hammer and break it apart...
