Default clutch keeps going out of adjustment

I just adjusted my clutch 2days agao. I have an aftermarket cable I put on about a year ago and the adjustment is at the clutch fork by turning the nut down. I don't have a quadrant or a firewall adjuster. But two days ago I adjusted it and its back to where it was.about an 2 inches of free play at the top and when I push the clutch down all the way I can't get it in first or reverse very easily and when it is in first or reverse with the clutch pressed in the car starts creeping forward or back. When I adjusted it it was fine worked great for 2 days.

Is this a clutch issue or my cable. Clutch seems fine no slipping. Running a spec stg 1. What do I do adjust it again?

Throw away that aftermarket cable and get a stock OEM one with an aftermarket firewall adjuster and quadrant.

^+1--the cable is stretching, shortly it will break...

Get a stock cable. Better yet get a stock cable, and an after market quadrant and adjuster--I have been running UPR's 3-hook quadrant and, their QuickClick adjuster, with the original OEM cable, for 3 years and adjusted the cable maybe twice...

I had the same issue with an aftermarket cable, in two weeks it finally snapped. Im running the same setup as cliffy and have had no problems even with a cable that has 145k miles.

I must have gotten lucky...I have the aftermarket adjustable cable installed, with no issues in 2 years, but I also kept the factory one for a spare lol. I am using the steeda cable, quadrant, and adjsuter. If I had to do it over again I think I would have bought the upr setup like cliff.
