Tail Light Problem

Tail Light Problem
Car: I have a 1999 Ford Mustang GT that only has 48,000 miles.
Problem: The right side bulb on both tail lights won't work. I have tried switching the bulbs and the bulbs work in other sockets just not the right ones. Is this mean the socket is bad and just replace it or is it something else? I just got done installing sequential lighting and hoped that it would fix it and plus get me to finally figure out what is wrong with the lighting.
If anyone has any questions let me know thanks.

So you installed the sequential module and now the outer lights don't work? I would equate that to installing/wiring the module in wrong. Take it out and put it back to stock. If they work then maybe the install was wrong or modules were bad.

Well it is something with the harness in the tail light I would say. As you have noticed there is a plug inside the trunk in which the tail light harness plugs into.
I would go to each socket that is not working and check the power with a voltmeter. Maybe it is a coinsidence that it is the same bulb socket on each side. If you don't get power then it may be a bad socket.
Do the bulbs not light up AT ALL? Or do they work with running lights and not brake/blinker function? Or vise versa?
If they don't work at all, then I would lean toward a corroded connection in the tail light harness. Unwrap the wires (be careful not to cut anything) and inspect the wires.
Right tail light harness from my car:
Here you can see the plug on the harness (the 2 orange/grey wires feed the blinker/turn signal filament of the bulb and the brown feeds the running lights with black being the ground. Black/pink wire is the power wire to reverse lights)
Major = brake/turn signal
Minor = running lights
Inside a socket (may be loose or corroded. socket pictured is inner most socket only serving as a running light in stock configuration)

Well it pretty much came down to with what I would have to do, the supplies I have and tools I have to make it, I would not have like how it came out.
Plus I was up to $34 in supplies. The kit for both sides is $50....so I returned the stuff I could. At least the thread has technical information in it that can be seen a referenced by others.
