First let me reply to WannaBeGearHead, yes I did mean the piston not position.
Then the car was tuned after camshaft install, while I did not witness them tuning it before my eyes, when I arrived they were pulling it off the dyno and gave my a sct-xcal3 tuner with three programmed tunes in it. One for the track, one for daily driving, and one that should let the car run on 83.
Before you bombard me with questions about that let me tell you that when I was at the track I had the track tune uploaded, and I was running 93. lol
Now on to the oil. I believe they had to put oil in it after the motor install because I drove it for almost 2800 miles before I noticed the oil gauge jumping up and down. Although again I did not personally witness the oil being put in.
I have filled the oil and I plan on tracking every mile I drive and every stop I make I'm going to check the oil. I will also keep a detailed log of everything that I notice, oil level, miles and anything else unusual.
The car goes back to the fist shop (the shady one) in a week. During the in between time I plan on gathering as much info as I can and talking to a lot of different mechanics. If you know of any shops I could call to get info that would be great.
Are we sure there is no way the crank could have bent the fingers on the clutch. Because I have not pressed this issue with the mechanic yet? Either way the Tranny shop will be doing the work, I'll just fight to get the fist shop to pay for it.
How could that much oil disappear with out my car smoking like a train from the 30's?
I only drove about a mile, maybe 2, with the gauge jumping up and down, what are the odds that I cause additional damage while driving the car in that condition?
What parts could be faulty and causing me to burn oil? The block? The heads?. . . I really don't know.
