Default 96 gt Spline Size

I was thinking about getting an aluminum driveshaft for my 96gt

however, i am not sure about what size spline i have. can anyone tell me what a stock spline size is? if it is 28 or 31 inch spline.

uhmm.... im confused.

i believe ^ you are talking about axles. hes asking about a driveshaft...

http://www.americanmuscle.com/96gtand96coa.html

will fit 96-04 GT's. your axles dont make a difference what your driveshaft is.

yea sorry. i want to get an aluminum driveshaft, but the AM site says the driveshaft fits a 31inch spline, but stock is 28.

so i was trying to figure out if it would fit regardless of axle size. you would just change out the yoke for the stock yoke, correct?

that says 31 spline yolk it has nothing to do with your axles. that link i gave you strait up tells you it fits a 96-04 gt... unless someone has done some serious overhauling of your drivetrain, which i doubt since you have a stock driveshaft, the one in the link i postedwill fit just fine for your car. and WORST case scenario, you swap out the u join and its fine.

hence why i said disreguard the above post.

I just put that same driveshaft in my 98 GT a couple of weeks ago. Bolted right in and works great!
