Aux port in my 04?
Hey guys, I am looking for a way to play my music through my stock stereo? What is the best relatively cheap way to do this? I saw some fm modulators but I heard that they are crap. I would really like to do this though!
On the other hand I was thinking about a cheap replacement head unit with bluetooth. I live in california so a bluetooth unit would be nice. I wish I could find one for about 100 but I don't see a quality one... I would have to wait quite a while for these though.
Here are some I am considering

I am assuming you have an iPod. If so read on if not don't bother. K you can get what's called an fm transponder that runs either off the internal battery or an outside power source. You simple plug them into to bottom plug and they send an fm signal at pre-determined stations. The problem with those is that most aren't shielded from the vehicle and tend to pick up the interference and broadcast it too. Or you can hardwire a dedicated line to your factory equipment. Future shop carries them and they install them too. A friend had one done there a couple months ago and it was 80 bucks installed. The interference is shielded or grounded out I am not sure how exactly but the sound is crystal clear and it charges them too. Transponders can be had for 10 bucks and up and dedicated cable is gonna be at least 30 plus install unless you do it.

PIE interface makes a harness that plugs in to the Mach deck and turns the Sat button into an Aux button. That is what I use for my ipod. The harness includes RCA jacks to use a RCA to Standard headphone cable to plug in your device
