Default do i need new transmission?

i don't know very much about cars but its in the shop right now and they r putting bigger pistons in and a cam and boring out the cylinders, its basically going to be a 5.1L engine, it also has full exhaust with no cats and 3.73 Ford Racing gears. its gonna give 430 bhp and i don't know if im going to need a new transmission for that or not? its a manual

well your car has cams, not a cam. I dont think you are gonna see that much power, but if you do the trans should hold

What else is done to this engine? I'm assuming its supercharged??? 430 horsepower wont happen with a 5.1 and cams. But anyway I'm running my stock trans still on 420rwhp.

The only thing I left out is were putting a new crank in it, and its going to get close to 430 because the pistons and well everything were putting in it is meant for racing, our mechanic literally went to california and watched them build the pistons, its all top of the line stuff

special pistons don't add horsepower there bud, Not much anyway, bigger bore pistons and a higher compression engine will add power but not much, "top of the line pistons" usually just mean they can handle a lot of power, not they magically give you a lot of power, think about it, how could a piston differ and give you anymore power? A crank will add no power at all. Im gonna goahead and call bs on this whole thing. Out of everything to buy you buy a 97, know absolutely nothing about it and just forked over a ton of money for some guy to build you a 400whp car? Stop trollin',

You mechanic is an idiot if he told you you're going to make 430hp from a set of pistons and a crank. You're a fool for believing him. ..Either that or another troll.

Ok well whatever u guys think, this guy has been a mechanic for many many years and he knows what he's doing, idk what else he is doing to the engine but its all going to be engine work and he'll get 430 horsepower out of it, I'll upload a pic of the dyno when I get it dyno'd to prove it

lol ****ing kid, we live this stuff, you think you can come here and bull**** about making 430whp n/a in a 2v? You'd need trickflow heads and to rev it to 8000RPM to even get close, there's been quite a few N/A 2v builds over the years, i think i've seen one that broke 400 whp and it rev'd to the moon.
Tell your mechanic to hop on the site.
