i bid on a 5.4 engine on ebay and it just ended, it is a 99 5.4 long block with PI heads intake mainfold, water pump, oil pan, cam covers, and tinimg chain cover. i got it for... $460 pls shiping which is $160.

lol, i need to replace my 4.6 its got 131k so i figure i can work on that one untill me 4.6 dies or when i get some money so put it in, a tune, and a hood. when i get it i will post some pic. Sureal got his short block for $400. so i think i got a good deal.

i have a ? do the motor mount from the 4.6 bolt on to the 5.4, do i use the 5.4 mounts or the 4.6

they have the same motor mounts. the motors are pritty much the exact same just the 5.4 is taller and has a wider gap between the heads, and some computer things are diff.

a short block is a block, crank, rods, & pistons. a long block is a short block with heads on it
