How do I remove the PCV valve?????
My PCV valve was leaking so I'm trying to take it out, but after struggling with it for 30 mins its starting to **** me off. I found a few things on the internet saying they just twist out, but mine wont turn at all, not to mention its really hard to get to. Anyone have some suggestions??????

I remember on my 00 model, it just pulls straight out. It's been awhile, but I'm pretty sure it didn't involve turning it at all. I did have a very difficult time removing it. It was just a matter of me getting mad enough at it and mustering up enough strength to pull it out.
I think they are different though for yours since you have an 02 - romeo vs windsor or whatever. But I believe yours still pulls out, as in its not threaded in, but you have to turn it like cliffy said first, then pull it straight out.

Yeah I just disconnected my air intake to get to it easier, then it came right out.... But now the ford dealership is giving me the valve but no 90 degree bend to hook up the hosing. Their diagram for the vin of my car is a little different than whats under my hood when it comes to the hosing and valve. It's just a PCV valve and yet its kicking my ***, kinda ridiculous waiting a few days for them to even ship the part.

That's the hosing the ford dealership is showing on the diagram for the vin of my car, but its not the same as the hosing that's in my car atm. the 2nd pic of the valve that cliff posted is the exact valve. So I'm replacing the hosing too just so it all matches. That's what was confusing me and the parts guy because when i brought my hosing in, it just didn't match. Whoever owned the car before me must of rigged something up or its an updated part... who knows, should have it fixed tmrw when the parts get shipped in lol.

Hi guys, new member here.
Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I'm having the same problem as JBud02 had. I hope he's still out there because I'd like to know how he solved the issue.
My '02 GT has the locking PCV valve like the one in the picture above, except it has a plastic 90 degree elbow. The dealer used my VIN and got me the locking valve, except no elbow. They say that's all that's available in the locking style. I hope the parts guy is wrong.
The PCV hose pictured is different than mine too. That's a KCV-129. My car, and I suspect JBud's, has a KCV-137. I'm the original owner and I know it's never been messed with, so JBud's is likely factory as well and not some previous owner mod like he suspected.
Any ideas? Does anyone have a part number for the locking style with a 90 degree elbow?
Thanks.

I almost forgot, the dealer got me an EV-257 PCV valve, which is what their parts lookup by my VIN showed. That's the locking one pictured above by cliffyk. The strange thing is that my car had an EV-253 from the factory. According to the parts lookup, that was only for the Cobra?? He looked up the current EV-253 for me, thinking it would solve my problem, but the new EV-253 looks just like the EV-257(locking with no 90 degree elbow to attach to PCV hose).
