guys need final opinions im getting a blower kit prolly next week for my 01 gt just need to decide which and which be more cost effective and which i can handle dont wanna blow motor?
get a v-1 non-intercooled and aftermarket intercool it later and stay at a safe whp that wont blow my motor? can get it for 3000$
or
vortech or procharger intercooled kit and possibly be a t a high whp and run the risk of blowing motor do to too much whp for stock block? price 4600$
install was 1500 for non and 2000 or more for intercooled whatcha guys think im all ears!!

These motors will take 10 PSI(INTERCOOLED ONLY) all day if maintained properly. Supercharging a vehicle without an intercooler provides heavily diminished returns, high risk, and very high cost per HP. Supercharging without intercooling shouldnt even exist as a concept, it is not worth it and not smart.
$4600 is wayyy steep for a centrifugal + intercooler setup. Thats close to Kenne Bell prices. For another $800 you could get a brand new KB 2.1L Intercooled kit after taxes, shipping and everything. Installation of a 2.1L is easier than most think.

i would get it intercooled when its getting installed and be done with that. I was too anxious and didnt and now I have to pay for the intercooler install and a retune. Its better to just get it alll dont at once
Not to thread jack but to other vortech and supercharged guys how good is a focus svt pump good for? My shop said its close to maxing out now. Thanks
