Default Replace ball joints or entire control arm, 01 GT Conv

My brother replaced my rotors and brake pads this weekend. He told me that my ball joint boots are ripped. He said we should spend a weekend replacing the ball joints. I found a few online for approx $65 a piece. Also looked at just replacing the control arms with the cobra ones on LMR for $320.

I am hoping y'all can help me with this decision. I am wondering about labor comparisons on the two jobs. I don't mind spending a little more if it makes this job easier. From what it looks like on some of the previous posts removing the ball joints can be pretty difficult. Is the control arm job just as difficult? I searched these forums all day today trying to get more info but I couldnt find enough to help me make a decision. I guess I'm wondering if the control arm replacement is more like a bolt on job rather than a real in depth task.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Rent the right tools from your Local Autozone/Advanced Auto and a Ball joint is easy. removing the whole a arm is a lot more involved but not overly difficult
