Default X-Pipe or H-pipe? 96 GT

Hey guys, I've had my car for about 4 months and I'm not sure exactly if my pipes/mufflers are stock. I have a x pipe and people tell me my car is too loud to be stock..

I can hear my car idling from inside my house if I'm near a window...lol

If it has an X pipe its not stock...OE are H pipes. Do you HAVE cats? I would imagine if its a '96 and you've had it for 6 months someone has modified the exhaust in SOME way...its too hard to resist for someone not to!

If you can, take a pic of your exhaust and put it on here.

I bet if it has an O/R X pipe it is noticeably louder than stock even if it has the factory mufflers. Since you say you can hear it from inside the house, I'm sure it doesn't have the full factory exhaust. As mentioned, an X is the first confirmation that some exhaust components have been replaced.

Are the two pipes connected to look like an "H" or an "X"? You can get catted x pipes and h pipes...take a pic if you can!

It couldn't be factory no matter how many cats it has. The factory put H-pipes on the cars. It is likely that he has aftermarket mufflers to go with the aftermarket mid-pipe.
