You changed the airflow significantly enough that the computer no longer recognizes it as normal, to cure this you need to tune the computer.

This is wrong...you dont need a tune for a cold air intake and tb/plenum...

LOL I almost spit my coke all over the computer. Thanks for the good laugh.

You have the TPS in wrong. Loosen it up and make small adjustments till the code stops appearing.

Just read in another post that the BBK throttle bodies have some issues with the casting for the TPS. This may be causing your issues. Generally, the TPS is NOT adjustable on our cars.

To clarify, even if that were true--that the airflow was significantly changed--which it isn't, it would not matter as the MAF would still be measuring the amount air entering the engine and the PCM would adjust the fueling and timing accordingly.

OP: P0124 is an odd-ball, "intermittent TPS signal", Ford does not even list it in the 2000-2004 shop manuals.

Check the connector to make sure it's seated properly, then with KOEO check the voltage between the brown/white (+ probe) and gray/red (- probe) wires at the TPS, it should be around 5.0 V.

Then connect the + probe to the gray/white wire and observe the voltage while opening and closing the throttle. It should vary smoothly from 0.5 V to 4.0+ V. Use insulation piercing probes or stick sewing pins through the wires.

I have also heard of the BBK TPS casting/machining issue, though I have not read exactly what it is about it that causes problems...
