Default 2003 GT 4.10 Gears Advice

So I am thinking about putting 4.10 gears on my 2003 GT. I have done some research on them and it seems like they are really worth it. However, I have one concern. I want to keep my mustang as a good "everyday" car and am afraid that the 4.10 gears would give it too much torque to be practical. I guess I am saying that I don't want to be spinning tires every time I accelerate from a stop sign. Any advice/comments?

Dude you got an 03 mustang gt, not a fast high hp car. Put the 4.10s in and dont worry about it.

I had the same concern with my Mach, however, I said f#@% it and did it anyway.
Ill never go back. It makes the car better for DD conditions IMO. Feels lighter and I can use 5th gear more in city, gained 2-3 mpg in city. Cant tell a difference in Hwy mpg.

This is of course if you are able to keep your right foot light.

Even with 410's in a S/C (centrifigual) it is mangeable. Most def go with the 410's...

So 4:10's won't adversely effect the mpg?

The 4.10s certainly won't help the fuel mileage, but the amount of mileage drop shouldn't be too bad. The difference you see has a lot to do with how you drive. If you already drive it like you stole it, you won't see any difference. If you always drive it conservatively and try to get real good mileage, you will probably see a loss of around 1.25mpg - 1.5mpg. That is about the drop I saw with mostly town driving (some stop signs and lights, but not every half mile).

I say go for the 4.10. You won't regret it.
