Default Supercharger on 4.6

I am currently rebuilding my ford mustangs engine which blew up last summer. It has a windsor block and i want to do a supercharger set up on it. I don't really want to spend big money on rebuilding the engine but will i need to beef it up for a supercharger? or is there a specific supercharger set-up that will be fine with a stock rebuild? some in-put from someone would be greatly appreciated because I don't really know what to do.

Thanks for any help,
Tyler

For a stock engine your limited to about 450whp or so. You can use most superchargers but one of the cheapest to piece together is a vortech. This can easily get you around 400 rwhp and still be safe with a stock engine with a good tune. You will basically need the supercharger kit, bigger fuel pump, bigger injectors, and a maf.

and entry level blower should be fine like the p1sc, v1,v2 v3 vortechs etc or you could dig Alot deeper in the pocket and get a pd blower like a kenne bell. the cost can vary and the vortech will be about the cheapest but even their entry level blowers like the v1 s trim can get you to over 600rwhp with supporting mods and the right setup.the cost and potential is top notch there imo. look over this thread to get a rough estimate of different cost new and used http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...ower-cost.html

I too blew my stock motor a few years ago, after she had been S/C'ed for about 30K miles. I think you should go the extra mile and do what I did, forge the internals. I'm not saying to go to the extremes that I did, but being forged with the add ons is the way to go. My Paxton2000 came with EVERYTHING I needed for the install.
