Ticking noise

Ticking noise
I have a 02 gt and there is a ticking noise coming from my engine, a shop told me the number 3 coil pack was going bad. When I start it I can hear the noise coming from the passenger side of the motor under the air cleaner hose, can anyone direct me to hunt this noise down
