Default Tutorial: Seat Belt Recoil

what you need

-needle nose pliers
-nut driver or socket and ratchet set with 1/4 inch drive ratchet
-Torx T45 if you want to take off the seat belt

If your seat belt will no longer pull out you can reset it by letting it full recoil and pulling it all the way out, usually you'll find it folded over wrong in the recoil.

remove door's floor panel.
remove foam inset behind rear passenger seat
remove coat hanger clip.
remove plastic inserts on 1/4 panel. 3 on back and one on side under other plastic panel.
remove two small inserts that hold the weather stripping.

pull out and there it is.

Bump for anyone else to see. I swear my seatbelt has been responsible for more cursing than anything else in my car.

My seatbelts don't retract by themselves anymore. I have to manually pull it back into place.
