what fouls plugs

Flashing CEL : (
EDIT: This thread is now about replacing my intake manifold.
and will a fouled plug throw a code?
I've heard you can foul a plug by too much fuel in the CC and also if oil is leaking into the CC. any other things that foul them?
car started to idle bad at the bank today, and then when pressing the gas i could hear some ticking and it bucked on me a bit like it was missing a cylinder and the power was way down. the gear shift was also REALLY shaky when getting on the throttle.
i'll hook up my code reader soon and inspect the plugs. ALSO my coolant leak has stopped.

Can't remember if I gave advice on your coolant issue, but badass. It'll usually throw a misfire code from p0300-308 if I remember right. Your on track with the scanner but can you run monitors on it? Post the code and ill try to help.
-- where was the coolant leak? Could lead you to the cylinder( s) acting up if its misfiring.

ok my check engine light just started flashing...
the cars idle was ruffer. really bad ruff through the rpm range. up to 2.5Krpm and 3K rpm it would smooth out like something was catching good.
I have a code reader ive just been swamped with work. I'll post the results at 7:30 tonight. I HOPE its a coil or plug and not a head gasket. :/
edit: blinking CEL is a misfire. I'd say that coolant leak fouled the plug or destroyed the coil. I dont think I have water in my gas but this issue only happened the day after I put a new tank of gas in the car, and I used Speedway thats very busy and the gas isnt bad at all, and I dont suspect a vandal
if I did run water remover into the gas tank without any actual water in it, would it hurt that tank of gas?

P0442 Evaperative Emission System Leak detected (small leak)
P0304 Cylinder 4 misfire detected.
no daylight left to do anything. Good news is that I get off work early tomorrow, can walk to work and its gonna to be good weather.
Hmmm the coolant leak was around #5 not 4....
does the evap leak affect ANYTHING? isn't it purely environmental ?

Thats the same cylinder I had problem with..I changed coil pack and good as new..You could start with a $2-$5 spark plug..I run Ngk but its opinion based their..If that doesnt fix it I would say coil on plug is bad..

For the misfire is start by moving the coil to another cylinder to rule it out. If misfire moves bad coil, if it stays bad plug, even if it goes away, the coil could be weak. Good coils arc light blue very quickly, weak coils arc orange. I find it easy to lean a screwdriver in a plastic cover, pull the coil in question, and check the spark. The evap leak could be as simple as a gas cap. I would smoke test evap system personally. a purge sol will set another code like "evaporative emissions vent solenoid control circuit" but I forget the number, either way I have no reason to suspect it at this point. Good luck and keep us posted.
Another question, when was the last time you did plugs?

Ive not had this car long and I work in a way that i dont get home until dark. So far all I have had time to do is New Fuel Filter, cleaned the Intake filter, flush the radiator, repair seatbelt, and detail it really good. Spark plugs were next on my list anyway so We shall see.
I wonder if this is related to my pitiful 17MPG gas economy. Prior to yesterday this car ran STOUT and felt like a beast. smooth idle.
